Geox Press Trip in Italy – day 2

Hey guyss!

Here’s the second part of the trip to Italy, where I went with Geox! 🙂 You can read all about the purpose of the whole journey and Day 1 adventures in the first part of the article 🙂

So the next morning, right after an awesome breakfast, we finally went to Geox factory, which was quite an incredible experience! For the first time in my life, I saw how shoes are actually made and I was surprised how much handwork footwear requires! The most interesting was the production of the actual membrane. I didn’t believe that something could be done so carefully in today’s consumption times. We saw the laboratory (where I was unfortunately not able to take pictures), where the membranes, but also the whole shoes are being tested for various temperatures, flexibility or humidity.

At noon we went for another five-course lunch to the corporate restaurant and I gotta say that I would do anything to make our school canteen look like this, hahaha:)

After lunch, we hung around the warehouses, which were breathtaking as well. So many boxes and various machines!

In the afternoon, we went to Vila Sandi Winery, which will certainly be known by the wine gourmets. We went through the cellars and tasted several bottles.

After the tasting, we went back to the airport and in the evening we flew back to Prague. I don’t want to believe that we spent just two days in Italy! We’ve done so many interesting things! Anyways, these two days helped me look a little closer to the fashion industry, for which I’m very grateful.

And what about you guys? Do you have any Geox shoes? Have you ever seen a factory like this one?:)
