Heyyyy!

Who would have thought that a lookout tower can be found in Prague?

Until recently, I had no idea either! But we are constantly looking for new places to visit and sometimes there is simply no time for a trip to Switzerland, so we look around our hometown Prague. And this time we found the Doubravka lookout tower, which you can find in Prague’s Kyje in the Čihadla nature park.

You may have heard of it in the context of a fire that destroyed it in 2019. Today there is a new version, 23.5 meters high. It’s made entirely of acacia wood, and to be honest it’s quite unstable when you climb the stairs. The author is Martin Rajniš and his team from Hut Architektury.

You can park not far from Kyjský pond. The walk takes about 10 minutes.
