One of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Dolomitee – Cascate di Fanes

Hello everyone!

Our roadtrip in the Dolomites continues! This time, our steps have taken us back to Cortina, which is itself a magical little town. But these waterfalls which are just a few miles away are even more magical. Their name is Cascate di Fanes and the best thing about them is that they are not very well known. That means that they don’t get crowded.

As soon as we parked the car, I realized I was there a few years ago. But I remember that at that time I only reached the viewpoint of the first (but the biggest!) waterfall. The viewpoint is located about 3 km from the parking lot. But this time I realized that we could go all the way down to the waterfalls, which is what we did.

And if you ever come here, you should definitely explore the valley too, because the viewpoint is nothing compared to what you find down there. Not only can you see the foot of one of the waterfalls and therefore you can take a shower under it. You can even walk behind the next waterfall just a few minutes away.

Bottom line, we saw three waterfalls. The whole trip there and back took us about three hours, but we stopped at a few places and took tons of pictures and had a long snack/chill break.

I hope I gave you a helpful tip for an interesting place today, and that you will come here sometimes!

E.
