Queenstown, hand-gliders, bungee jumping and night sky

Hey!

I have never thought I would love Queenstown that much! It’s one of the biggest cities of Zealand (it’s still pretty small) and lies right next to a clear blue lake. Above the city there is Bob’s Peak, on which you can take a gondola and from where there is a great view. Well, there are actually mountains over 2000 m.a.s.l. everywhere around Queensland and that’s maybe the reason why it’s so beautiful and unique.

So we started the day hiking the mountains, which I’ll never get tired of. By coincidence we found a spot, where all the parachutes jump down the hill, so we watched them for a while:))

We also checked out the Kawarau Bridge, over the Kawarau river, where the first bungee jump in history took place and it still works today.

We had some local sushi for lunch and walked through the city centre in the afternoon, including the Queenstown Gardens, which reminded me of a botanic garden. At the end of the day we couldn’t miss the view from Bob’s Peak, so we hopped on the gondola and did a short hike up there.

Tomorrow we’re heading towards Milford Sound, the symbol of Zealand!
