Roadtrip around Morocco – Tizi N’Tichka

Tizi_n_Tichka

Hey everyone!

After a night in the car and wakening up in the middle of the Atlas, we hopped into the car again and drove further into the mountain massif. Another point of interest was the Tizi N’Tichka pass at 2 260 m.a.s.l.

The temperature was decreasing steeply from awesome 20 to uncomfortable 5°C as we were gaining the altitude. The wind was blowing so fast that it was hard to keep up on our feet, so we didn’t stay long here.

Around lunch, we stopped in a small village in the middle of nowhere, where we had their typical tajine and bought another 4 loaves of excellent Moroccan bread which we had been eating for another two days.

The rest of the photos you can find in this article were taken along the way. We didn’t do any hike around Tizi N’ Tichka, because we weren’t really equipped for that. This was really just a roadtrip and not a mountain trip, which I’m kinda crying about now, but at least it’s just another reason to come back here eventually 🙂
