Spending Christmas away from home

Hey guys!

So I’m just sitting on the airplane and I have nothing to do, so this article will be a bit longer than usually. And where I’m going? Well, hold on, I’ll get there.

It was December 20th, 9.40PM. I had to do about 756468 things and all of them were supposed to be done in like two minutes.

You know that feeling, when you just have too much stuff to do immediately, so instead of starting working on them, you just resinate and watch o movie or something? Well, that’s exactly what I did. Instead of finishing my essay for school, which was supposed to be turned in by midnight, I started searching for some cheap flight tickets. I really wanted to go somewhere during the Christmas.

— Just to explain my relationship with Christmas in general – it’s not like I hate them, but it’s a kind of a pointless holiday for me. First of all, I’m an atheist. Second, I usually have to study during Christmas for my finals in January. Third, I don’t understand why I have to buy presents on command. Just because it’s Christmas. If I want to give a present to someone, I don’t obviously wait for Christmas. Yes, I’m talking about the ridiculous queues to Pandora and hysterical people running around shopping malls, spending a huge amount of money for stuff that nobody needs. And fourth, I just can’t resist the Christmas cookies & biscuits and since my mom makes the best ones and I’m the only one who actually eats it, I usually eat several pounds and then I get fat. And then I’m mad. —

Anyways, let’s get back to the flight tickets. Originally me & my mom were supposed to go to the Alps during Christmas, but I just couldn’t stop imagining us somewhere warm.

So I found a flight ticket from Poland to Dubai for a reasonable price. From December 22nd till 28th. I called my mom and told her and she was like: “Yup. Buy them” without hesitating. So I bought them. That was easy, but here comes the stressing part. We had to cancel / move everything we planned for Thursday & Friday, my mom had to take two days off and I had to cancel all the training sessions and photoshoots. I don’t even know how, but we managed it and we got on the road on Thursday 5.20am in the direction of Katowice. Btw I came home at 3am. Slept for 45 minutes. Started packing at 5.10 and my apartment looks like an atomic bomb exploded there. Oh how I love these spontaneous trips! And I love my mom, who is exactly as crazy as me! Thanks mom for being so awesome! <3

This is the first time I’ll be away from home for Christmas. But I always say, that it doesn’t matter where you are if you’re with the right people. The fact that you’re in Dubai is just the value added. The most important thing is, that you’re with the person you love the most!<3

I have a feeling that this is going to be the best Christmas so far. Even though I forgot to pack my toothbrush, I would never forget my camera, so stay tuned for hundreds of pictures full of sun, 75 degrees, chill and food! Maybe there will be a video as well, if I’m not too busy chilling, hahaha:) Actually I got an electronic stabilization for my GoPro, so I can’t wait to try it!

Oh and concerning this outfit, I finally found these boots in Mango, for which I’d been looking for such a long time! I got 3 pairs of winter shoes, so I don’t wear sneakers in the winter anymore. This winter is pretty cold, so I guess I didn’t have any other choice, hahaha:)

So guys, have a wonderful & merry Christmas!

I’m taking a break from blogging, e-mails and school at least till the 25th, so I’ll see you then!
Love,
E.
