Hey travellers!
A few days ago, I returned from the Dolomites, which I visited for about tenth time. This time I travelled with Kuba Mařík, a wonderful photographer. I hope you’ll believe me if I say that there is still a lot to discover even after ten visits!
Our first stop was by the Reinhold Messner Museum up on Kronplatz peak. We went up with the last cable car, but we didn’t forget to pack a tent and sleeping bags in our backpacks.
And guess where we built the tent. Right in front of this monumental building. So we were protected from the wind (which was really strong at night) and still had a great view.
Even though I honor Reinhold Messner every day when I go to sleep and he is, in my opinion, one of the greatest climbers of all time, we didn’t get a chance to see the museum itself because it was already closed when we got there and we didn’t want to provoke the locals with our tent and therefore went down with the first cable car the next morning. However, I have to admit that the museum attracted us because of its special architectural design rather than what was inside.
