4 top places in Budapest

Heyyyyy travelers!

In the last article, I told you why I went to Budapest again after such a short time, and also that me and my mom couldn’t just stay at the hotel and relax, as planned. On the second day we hit the city, and since I’ve been in Budapest quite recently, I knew my way around, and so I was the guide.

I showed my mom the best places in one day, so if you’re planning a one-day trip to Budapest, here is the list of the best places:

1 – HERO SQUARE

This square totally got me! Mainly because it’s so clean and simple. In fact, whole Budapest is super-clean. When you are here, you can also visit Városliget Park, which is just a few steps from here.

2 – CITADELLA & BUDA CASTLE & ST. MATHIAS CHURCH & FISHERMAN’S BASTION

I think these are the most beautiful places in Budapest, which are very close to each other. There is a beautiful view of the city, you can see the Danube river and the Parliament. In the walls of Fisherman’s Bastion there is a beautiful café where even though the coffee actually sucks, but the view with a mug in your hands is priceless.

3 – PARLIAMENT

It’s beautiful from every side possible – from the other side of the river as well as the actual Parliament area. Also, try to get here during the sunset!:)

4 – ROOFTOP BARS & SZIMPLA KERT

There is no doubt that Szimpla Kert is the most famous bar in Budapest, so it’s definitely a must-see! This place is absolutely impossible to describe and no picture can show the atmosphere, you have to see it with your eyes. As far as the rooftops go, I’ve tried High Note Skybar and St. Andrea Bar and both have a wonderful view. The big advantage is that you can visit these places in the evening, when it’s dark, unlike the other places:)

Of course there is more awesome places in Budapest, but it’s impossible to see them all in a single day. If you’re here for a longer time, be sure to check out my second article from Budapest, where there are more tips! 🙂
